Picture Simplicity with Picasa

I'm sure most of have digital cameras. It has heaps of benefits: instant pictures, ability to preview the pictures taken, sharing pictures on the web... and the list goes on. No doubt we tend to take more pictures now. With all the pictures on your computer, we all face the challenge of organizing these pictures. With our cameras becoming 'more powerful' (in terms of megapixel power. More the megapixel, the larger the size of the picture taken), some of our pictures are large in size.

I found a free software that's really really good to organize and work with all our digital pictures. It's called Picasa and can be downloaded for FREE from the following ebsite: http://picasa.google.com.au/

Once you download the software and complete installation, Picasa will automatically go through your disk and organize your pictures. I started a picture folder of the size of 792 Mb and within 30 minutes I could 'clear' a lot of junk and make it to 600 Mb.

By using Picasa you can also reduce the size of your pictures. I'll cover that in the next posting.
